New amazing album for legendary French Singer Songwriter Christophe Miossec – one of my all time favorite.

 

Big Thief – Masterpiece

What an album ! I discovered Big Thief through their NPR Music Tiny Desk concert, and fell in love with the whole damn thing. Guitarist Buck Meek’s performance on stage is the best thing that happened to rock’n roll this year.

 

John Moreland – High On Tulsa Heat

This songwriter moves me with his dark and deep folksongs like only Townes Van Zandt moved me before.

 

Leonard Cohen – You Want It Darker

 

Pascal Bouaziz – Haïkus

Also known for his experimental chanson project Mendelson, Bouaziz releases a collection of simple and powerful indie folk songs. So rare in France – so good.
